Dr. Cowan is a Canadian trained family physician, having lived in all four western provinces for part of my life. I am very familiar with the Canadian Prairies, and the cold winter although not enjoyable hasn’t chased me away yet, nor will it. In many respects, he considers himself a small town country doctor, and earlier in my career was exactly that having lived in communities with a population under 500.
As I’ve gone through my career, I’ve looked after many people and consider myself truly to be a general practitioner. As my own age continues to increase, I can relate to problems others in my age group have. Working with younger people however keeps me young in mind and heart, and working with the elderly allows me to appreciate the importance of trying to manage medical problems in younger age groups more effectively.
I enjoy helping my patients, and really can’t ever imagine not working doing what I enjoy!
